Stage: Standard Carnatic vocal setting, with violin and mridangam support for music recording

Standard dance stage for dance recording with recorded music

Theme guidelines:

​

• A Dancer and Singer are paired together

• Dancer selects 3 or 4 songs Padam and Javali items all abhinaya items

• Dancer and Singer work together to determine raga, repetition and duration of the songs

• Singer submits a draft recording of the songs and reviews with Dancer

• Upon confirmation on the outline, Singer records the whole performance in a carnatic concert style and audio and video are recorded

• Audio is provided to the dancer for preparation and rehearsal

• Dancers performance is also recorded in studio setting

• Both the Singers performance and Dancers performance are shared online

Other guidelines:

​

• Time commitment is required to align the outline and also plan the recording

• Recording timing and details will be mutually agreed

• Duration has to be atleast 25-30 mins

Note: As this series is to promote the collaboration between dancers and singers to promote the art scene in Singapore and provide opportunities to artiste, there will be no payment for the performances. Artiste will be provided an audio and video recording of their performance.
